Innovative Carbon Fiber Heating Elements
Heat by Design™ picture heaters are engineered with patented carbon fiber heating elements. These elements are embedded behind high resolution graphics that are printed onto a conductive metallic-based substrate. The carbon fibers are approximately the size of a human hair and create heat with very little electricity. The elements are assembled in a flat layer, which allows the Heat by Design picture heater to maximize heat and minimize electricity consumption.
High Resolution Graphics
Heat By Design picture heaters are available with a wide variety of stock images. Your picture heater can be manufactured with your photography or graphics as well. Image quality of up to 600 dpi (dots per inch) is printed with commercial four-color process equipment.
Quiet Convection Heat The silent operation of the Heat by Design picture heater makes it ideal for homes and offices. Unlike competing products, the Heat by Design picture heater does not require a noisy fan to move air through heated metal coils. Air that has been heated by the carbon fiber heating elements rises and draws cooler air from below. Operating in silence, only the picture printed on your Heat by Design picture heater will attract attention.
Energy Efficiency
Our GentleHeat™ thermal cycling system conserves energy by only drawing power about 50% of the time. Warm air is naturally circulated without the need for fan power (see How It Works). This results in a space heater that is typically 15% more efficient than other flat panel heaters.
Improved Health and Safety
Heat by Design picture heaters weigh about the same as a typical large framed picture (approximately 10 lbs) and are easily mounted on most walls. Keeping the picture heater and its power cord off the floor reduces clutter and improves safety, especially in high traffic areas and in homes with toddlers or pets. The lack of glowing heat elements makes the Heat by Design picture heater a safer and more appealing appliance. Convective heat does not stir up airborne particulates, nor does it blow these through heating coils. Also, low electricity consumption means fewer tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses while you are asleep or away from the home or office.
